Hi everyone,
It’s been a long time since I wrote a newsletter personally. I’ve been doing this for Webriy since 2021, and honestly, I used to enjoy it a lot. But after ChatGPT came around, I started writing these super quick with AI… and somewhere along the way, I realized I don’t want my brain to stop thinking just because AI is there to make things easier.
It’s great having all of you here — freelancers, developers, agency owners (and sorry if I missed anyone!). Thank you for joining CopyElement. The story of how this was built is a long one… I even lost a few friends along the way. But here we are, together on this platform.
Over the months, I’ve had many offers to sell CopyElement. But I’ve never done it because I don’t want it to become just another profit-driven product. Yes, revenue matters to keep things running, but my vision is bigger — I want everyone to be able to use CopyElement. Not just developers, not just freelancers, but even people who are starting out and need a proper starting point.
You know how people say, “Just install WordPress and use Elementor to create pages”? Sure… but starting from scratch can be frustrating in the beginning. The design you imagine rarely comes out perfect on the first try. That’s okay. Even if you copy and paste at first, you’ll still learn how it’s structured, which container is used where, and how it all comes together. And that learning makes you faster.
I’ve been through this myself — started as a freelancer, then built my agency Webriy.com. In the last 5 years, I’ve worked on over 100 websites — Webflow, Framer, Shopify, Drupal, Joomla, MERN, and of course, WordPress. I started all this when I was 16–17.
Anyway… I’d love to hear your thoughts, suggestions, or even issues you’re facing. I might write the next newsletter in a month or so. And if you want to connect personally, you can find me on LinkedIn or join our Discord (link’s on the CopyElement homepage).
Thanks for reading,
Saurabh
